LOWKEY SILK OF THE WEEK: Siosifa Talakai

Jackson Thomas

Every week YKTR will tip a bloke who is flying under the only radar that actually counts; the silk radar.

Someone who is being slept on but has a fair bit about their game who we reckon deserves some overdue respect.

Round 13: Siosifa Talakai

Monster.

Is he a prop, a backrower - fuck, a centre?!

Who cares, Siosifa Talakai just needs to be on the park.

In a side where the halfback leads the comp in try-assists, it's hard to be the best player on the field for the Sharkies.

But for the last two weeks Talakai has been just that.

Can hit with the best of them, and a tank with ball in hand.

Very similar to when Koni Hurrell first burst onto the scene.

Built low to the ground, strong as fuck with sneaky, silky footwork for a big fella.

All about this guy, the Sharks are onto a winner here.

He's forced his way into the starting side again this week at the expense of Briton Nikora who last year, was playing for the Kiwis.

Gun.

Anytime try-scorer this week is def worth a little flutter.
