US GETTING AROUND THE NRL: GAME RECOGNIZE GAME

There's a real opportunity here for the NRL to become truly, a global game.

Our lord and savior, Peter V'landys, has pulled off the unthinkable.

Footy is back baby, and the world is taking notice.

SportCenter, with a social media reach of over 20 Million, recently shared some of the NRL's heavy hitters doing their best work.

 Naturally big Jorgey featured heavily.

Then the boys from Barstool got around Saturday night's Roosters v Bunnies game. And even gave a bit to the Souths supporters.

We know how good the NRL is. Fans or no fans, this is going to be hectic.

And like we spoke about a few weeks a go on the Show & Go, in relation to the UFC's return, there's an opportunity here to go global.

The NRL is about to be one of the first major sports organisations in the world to return post covid-19 lockdown.

That means there will potentially be more eyes on the game now than ever before (no pressure boys).

Rugby and soccer are already very much global games, but league has lagged behind.

Granted it hasn't been around as long, but if this round in particular can deliver, we could be on for tapping into the lucrative US market.

I wrote a little while ago about the New York rugby league bid and how that had kind of fallen away.

But here's our chance to shine - thank fuck Jorge Taufua is playing.
